Two Arrested Following Fatal Shooting Of 16-Year-Old

A search warrant of the residence connected 30-year-old Tyron McLean and 27-year-old Tyrus McLean to the shooting.

Two men have been arrested in connection to the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old boy.

On Wednesday, Red Springs police responded to a shooting incident in the 2000 block of Warren Street.

Upon arrival, authorities discovered the teenager deceased. He was identified as Tony James Craig.

Details surrounding the boy’s death have not been publicly released at this time.

However, a search warrant of the residence connected 30-year-old Tyron McLean and 27-year-old Tyrus McLean to the shooting.

The pair surrendered to investigators Friday night and are detained without bond.

The investigation is ongoing and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives is assisting.
