If you’ve been hitting up the pool or the beach this summer, there’s a chance you’ve felt self-conscious about some aspect of your body. Maybe it’s your lack of abs…your thighs….or your feet.

In a new survey, 44% of Americans say they’re self-conscious about their feet and 66% have even avoided wearing open-toed shoes because of it. The biggest concerns are smells and “toenail fungus.” Other reasons people don’t want to show off their feet include: toe hair and toe shape. Gen X was the most embarrassed by their feet…followed by millennials, and Gen Z. Boomers apparently couldn’t care less at this point.

On the flip-side, some people are extremely confident in their feet. 29% of Americans say they’d sell pictures of their feet if there was any interest.
