Surfside Police Chief Resigns
The town thanked Davis for his service and leadership and wished him success in his future endeavors.
The town of Surfside Beach announced that Police Chief Ken Davis has resigned.
Davis became the town’s interim police chief in April of last year.
By July of that year, the town council voted to make him the permanent police chief.
He is now stepping down to take on a new public service position.
Davis said he “leaves the surfside beach police department with wonderful memories and dear friends who are a team dedicated to excellence in public safety.”
