Coast RTA announced plans to take over a route that was previously closed.
The PDTRA ended its long running van pull between Lake City and the Grand Strand back in May as a strategic funding cut.
The move left residents concerned about losing jobs and looking for alternative transit.
However, Coast RTA will now take over running the route that has been in existence for decades.
The move comes after Horry County voters delivered Coast RTA $300 million in funding through Ride 4.
The company is using the funds to bolster the reliability of the work force on the Grand Strand.
Coast RTA also hinted that more routes could be coming soon.
