HCFR Rescues Two People From Roof Of Car

One person was able to escape the vehicle but two people were in need of rescue.

Horry County Fire Rescue crews responded to a situation Thursday morning involving a vehicle crash.

Shortly before 5am, authorities were called to the 5000 block of Highway 17 Bypass.

Upon arrival, a vehicle was witnessed sinking in a pond.

One person was able to escape the vehicle but two people were in need of rescue. They were trapped on the roof of the car.

One person was taken to a hospital to be evaluated for injuries.

The other two people involved signed medical transport waivers.
