Trump Plans To Phase Out FEMA After Hurricane Season
The goal is to completely dismantle the agency following this hurricane season which is expected to end on November 30.
President Trump announced plans to phase out the Federal Emergency Management Agency later this year.
“We want to wean off of FEMA, and we want to bring it down to the state level,” Trump said. He added that the federal government will start distributing less federal aid for disaster recovery and that the funding will come directly from the president’s office.
