Mazda Places Recall On Over 183k Vehicles
The recall covers 2024-2025 CX-30, 2024-2025 Mazda-3, and 2024-2025 MX-5 vehicles
Mazda is recalling more than 183,000 vehicles due to two separate issues.
One recall covers 2024-2025 CX-30 and 2024-2025 Mazda-3 vehicles.
It was placed due to the possibility that airbags may fail to deploy in a crash, increasing the risk of injuries.
The vehicles may have faulty air bag sensors that set an error code, which could deactivate the airbags due to a low battery condition.
Dealers will reprogram the air bag sensor units with new software or replace the unit for free.
Mazda MX-5 vehicles with model years 2024-2025 are also being recalled due to an indicator light issue.
It could fail to light up and warn drivers of a traction control system or control system issue. The issue increases the risk of crash.
Dealers will replace the dynamic stability control unit for free.
