Identity Of Victim Struck And Killed On Highway 501 Revealed
The victim was struck by a Freightliner tanker truck that was traveling south on 501.
The identity of a victim who was killed in an Horry County accident, has been revealed.
Early on April 10, 38-year-old Amanda Hewitt was walking in the area of Highway 501 and West Perry Road. She was struck by a Freightliner tanker truck that was traveling south on 501.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol said it appeared that she may have been run over by vehicles after the initial collision.
Hewitt suffered multiple traumatic injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
