Ford Issues Recall On Over 550,000 Vehicles

Maverick owners can take their vehicle to a dealership to get a new airbag indicator.

Ford has issued a recall on more than 550,000 vehicles.

The first recall covers 2025 Ford Mavericks. They may have an airbag indicator light that can become loose or dislodged, meaning occupants may not know whether the passenger airbag is on or off.

The second recall covers 2016-2017 Ford Explorers. The driver and front passenger piece that covers the frame separating the front and backseat windows, may detach while driving.

Both of the issues could increase the risk of crashes or injuries.

Meanwhile, a remedy for the Explorer models is still in development.
