A 2020 Freightliner dump truck was heading east when it veered off the right side of the road, then the left side of the road before over-correcting back to the right when it struck a tree.
48-year-old Willie Lee Jr. was the only occupant in the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy is set to be conducted at MUSC and the Highway Patrol is investigating.
