Second Suspect Charged In Connection To Little River Shooting

124 people were aboard the boat and eleven people suffered injuries.

Another arrest has been made in connection to the Little River shooting over Memorial Day weekend.

The incident unfolded on May 25 following a private charter boat party. A disturbance reportedly broke out on the boat but shots were not fired until the boat was docked along Watson Avenue.

19-year-old Shawon Williams was previously arrested in Illinois near Chicago. He will return to Horry County to face his charges.

Now, a 16-year-old boy from North Carolina has also been charged with eight counts of attempted murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession during a violent crime.

The teenager will be transported to the Department of Juvenile Justice in Columbia.

An investigation is still underway.
