One Suspect Arrested/Another Wanted In Fatal Shooting Incident

An investigation linked 22-year-old Lanita Sinclair and 25-year-old Damarko Williams to the shooting.

One woman has been arrested and another suspect remains at large in connection to an investigation.

Around 1:20am on Monday, police responded to the 2900 block of Wilson Street.

Upon arrival 40-year-old Corey Clark was found suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital where he later died.

An investigation linked 22-year-old Lanita Sinclair and 25-year-old Damarko Williams to the shooting.

Sinclair was arrested Wednesday and charged with first-degree murder and discharging a firearm within city limits. She is being held without bond at the Robeson County Detention Center.

Police are still searching for Williams on the same charges as Sinclair as well as possession of a firearm by a felon. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact Lumberton authorities.
