Swimming Advisories Issued In Georgetown Co. Lifted

As of Sunday night, the advisories were lifted but the water will continued to be monitored.

A swimming advisory issued Sunday morning in Georgetown County has been lifted.

Due to elevated bacteria levels, the South Carolina Department of Environmental Services advised that swimming wasn’t recommended near the Hazard Street access point in Pawleys Island.

Swimming near the access point at Luvan Way on Debordieu Beach was also not recommended for the same reason.

As of Sunday night, the advisories were lifted but the water will continued to be monitored.
