SCOTUS Allows Trump Admin To Enforce Ban On Transgender Troops
The Supreme Court's decision to allow the ban undermines two lower court decisions and marks a victory to Trump's administration.
The Supreme Court voted to allow Trump’s administration to enforce ban on transgender troops serving openly in the military.
Last month, the Justice Department requested to lift the ban policy, which Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth imposed in response to an executive order Trump issued days into his second term.
The policy states that transgender individuals cannot meet the “rigorous standards needed to serve, and allowing their participation threatens military readiness and unit cohesion.”
