Several Local Schools Honored With Palmetto’s Finest Award

The S.C. Association of school administrators awarded five schools all together.

Three local schools were awarded with one of South Carolina’s highest academic honors.

Socastee Elementary and the Academy for the Arts, Science, and Technology in Horry County, and South Florence High School in the Florence School District 1 were honored with the 2025 Palmetto’s Finest Award.

The S.C. Association of school administrators also awarded Fair-Forest Elementary School in Spartanburg School District 6 and Thomas  C. Cario Middle School in Charleston County.
