Trump Criticizes Putin After Russian Strikes On Kyiv
At least 10 people were killed and 90 were injured. It is being referred to as the deadliest assault on the city since last July.
President Trump offered rare criticism of Vladimir Putin.
“I am not happy with the Russian strikes on Kyiv. Not necessary, and very bad timing.
Vladimir, STOP! 5000 soldiers a week are dying,” He took to his Truth Social platform to say. He added, “let’s get the peace deal done!”
The statement came after Russia struck Kyiv with an hours-long barrage of missiles and drones. At least 10 people were killed and 90 were injured. It is being referred to as the deadliest assault on the city since last July.
Trump also lashed out on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and accused him of prolonging the war by refusing to surrender the Russia-occupied Crimea Peninsula as part of a possible deal.
Trump’s frustration is growing as a U.S. led effort to get a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia has not made progress.
