MBPD Reactivates Summer Emergency Vehicle Access Plan
Secondary streets and parking lots remain open during the Summer Emergency Vehicle Access Plan hours.
The Myrtle Beach Police Department is reactivating the Summer Emergency Vehicle Access Plan.
That means the northbound lane of Ocean Boulevard from 9th Avenue N. to 16th Avenue N. will close every Friday and Saturday night from 4pm-2am.
During that time, all traffic will flow southbound and the section between 8th and 9th Avenue N. closes both directions.
Secondary streets and parking lots remain open during the Summer Emergency Vehicle Access Plan hours.
The initiative aims to improve response times for first responders, increase officer visibility, and allow officers to proactively address any concerns throughout the area.
