Hockey Is Returning To Florence

A hockey team is returning to the Florence area.

The Federal Prospects Hockey League is an independent league that is heading to the Florence Center.

However, the official name of the new team has not been announced. It apparently will be up to the fans to decide.

The team is expected to start playing during the league’s next season that starts in October.

The city hasn’t had a professional hockey team since the Pee Dee Pride, which played from 1997-2005.
