Sam’s Club Plans To Open 15 New Stores Per Year

The new locations will aim to double Sam's Club membership over the next eight to 10 years.

Sam’s Club announced plans to open over a dozen new stores annually.

The move is part of the Walmart-owned company’s expansion efforts.

The warehouse is expected to open 15 new clubs per year as well as renovate all of its current 600 stores nationwide.

The company is speeding up its expansion plan as it’s rivals, Costco and BJ’s Wholesale, also have announced aggressive expansion plans.

Costco is expected to open 28 new clubs during its current fiscal year. Meanwhile, BJ’s plans to open 25 to 30 new locations over the next two fiscal years.
