Trump Admin Fires Director Of The NSA
Gen. Timothy Haugh was chief of U.S. Cyber Command in addition to leading the NSA.
President Trump dismissed the director of the National Security Agency Thursday night.
Gen. Timothy Haugh was chief of U.S. Cyber Command in addition to leading the NSA.
Top congressional Democrats criticized the firing as making the U.S. less safe from cyber intelligence and espionage activities by China and other U.S. foes.
Haugh’s NSA deputy, Wendy Noble, has also been fired. It is unclear what led to the removals and the NSA and Cyber Command declined to comment on the issue.
