Driver Rescued After Vehicle Caught In Flood Water

Aynor-bound traffic between Highways 90 and 905 were blocked as crews worked.

A driver was rescued after a crash in Horry County Thursday night.

Shortly after 7pm, fire rescue crews responded to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 22 near Aynor.

A car got caught in flood water, trapping the driver who was removed using a high-angle rescue technique. They were evaluated for injuries at the scene.

South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
