Multiple agencies responded to a home on Waverly Avenue to serve a warrant after police were made aware of a wanted person.
Two people have been arrested after a standoff situation in Florence.
Multiple agencies responded to a home on Waverly Avenue to serve a warrant after police were made aware of a wanted person.
Upon arrival, police confirmed with probation officers that the man in the front yard of the home was the suspect.
When they approached John Smith, he ran into the home and refused to come out.
Officials also learned a second wanted person was also in the home who was identified as Tiffany Cooper.
Smith and Cooper failed to respond, leading to the use of chemical agents to bring them out.
Cooper surrendered to officers and Smith was later located in the attic of the home.
Both had warrants out from the Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon as well as from the sheriff’s office. It’s unclear what the charges are at this time.
