YUM! Brands Partnering With Nvidia To Roll Out AI-Order Taking

YUM! Brands, which owns the eateries, announced it is partnering with technology chip-maker Nvidia to roll out AI-order taking, Nvidia-powered computer vision and restaurant performance assessments fueled by AI.
Restaurant companies have been using the technology to stay ahead of rivals by improving their operations and saving money on labor. For example, McDonald’s teamed up with Google and Wendy’s partnered with Palantir, to invest in AI.
The partnership is Nvidia’s first with a restaurant company. The move marks a shift in strategy for YUM! to build up its internal tech operations and integrate more advanced AI models.
