A company is investing $100 million to bring a new facility to Darlington County.

The new facility will be home to Universal Industrial Gasses LLC.

It will be 200 thousand-square-foot located at 300 Steel Road and will provide on-site industrial gases to Nucor’s Darlington County steel mill.

The company specializes in the design, construction and operation of industrial gas production and supply systems. It has been operating in Darlington for over 50 years.

It is unclear how many jobs the new facility will bring to the area. Production is expected to go online in December.
