T-Mobile Reaches Settlement Over Data Breach Lawsuit

T-Mobile denied any wrongdoing in the data breach, but agreed to pay $350 million to settle.

T-Mobile has agreed to pay customers their share of a settlement from a 2022 class action lawsuit.

A cyberattack in August of 2021 sparked customers to sue the phone company after personal data. 76 million t-mobile customers’ names, addresses and social security numbers were possibly compromised.

T-Mobile denied any wrongdoing in the data breach, but agreed to pay $350 million to settle.

After years of legal disputes and delays, the payments are set to be issued starting in April.

Those eligible to receive a payment were notified back in 2022.

The size of the payment you receive will depend on how much time and money you lost as a result of the breach.
