Armed Individual Shot By Secret Service Outside The White House
President Trump was not in the White House at the time of the shooting.
An armed man was shot by the Secret Service just outside the White House.
Police in Washington, D.C. were informed about a suicidal individual who may be traveling to the state from Indiana.
Members of the Secret Service later encountered the individual’s parked vehicle. They also witnessed an individual on foot matching the description nearby.
As officers approached, the individual rose a firearm resulting in an armed confrontation, during which shots were fired by Secret Service personnel.
The suspect has not been publicly identified at this time. He was transported to a hospital to be treated but his condition is unknown.
