A resident in the Carolina Forest area has been arrested in connection to the ongoing wildfire.

Alexandra Bialousow was arrested Thursday and charged with negligently allowing fire to spread to lands of another by the South Carolina Forestry Commission.

She is also charged with regulation of fires on certain lands chapter violations. That is described as “starting a fire in woodlands, grasslands, and other places unlawful unless certain precautions are taken.”

Bialousow is the owner of a home in the 2400 block of Covington Drive. A video shows a small fire in the backyard of her home.

Smoke was then seen nearby around an hour or so after Horry County Fire Rescue was called out for the wildfire.

Alexandra Bialousow is set to attend a bond hearing Friday.
