A local restaurant manager defeated the town’s acting mayor for a full term in the office during a special election.

Unofficial results show that Robert Outlaw defeated Brian Blue 278-270.

Outlaw ran for mayor in 2023 before losing to George Garner III, who passed away last year in a car accident. He went on to enter the race to fill Garner’s shoes in December and won.
