Trump’s Granddaughter Among Golfers In Dustin Johnson Championship

Cuts will be made following Saturday's round, leaving the top 36 boys and 18 girls to compete in the final round.

The Dustin Johnson World Junior Championship tournament kicked off in Myrtle Beach Friday morning.

Among the 90 boys and girls competing in the 54-hole championship, two descendants of celebrities are participating.

Kai Trump, the granddaughter of President Trump, and Charlie Woods, the son of golf legend Tiger Woods, both teed off at 9am for round one.

Also included in the line-up of players are two players representing the Grand Strand.

Madison Messimer will be graduating from Myrtle Beach High School and Aiden Aguilar will graduate from Carolina Forest.

Messimer has signed to play collegiate golf at the University of Tennessee while Aguilar has committed to play for Lander University.

Cuts will be made following Saturday’s round, leaving the top 36 boys and 18 girls to compete in the final round on Sunday.

Spectators are invited to attend all three days of the tournament and admission is free.
