100-Acre Fire In The Conway Area Fully Contained
The community can expect lingering smoke and potential flare-ups from small spot fires throughout the day.
A fire that ignited in Conway Thursday scorched 100-acres.
The flames started in the area of Dirty Branch Road and Blain Lane and initially covered around three acres when it was first reported around 12:30pm.
It spread as crews worked to smother the blaze.
As of 8am Friday, the fire was fully contained and all structures that were threatened have plow lines around them.
Residents who were evacuated as a precaution have been given the green light to return to their homes.
