Defense Attempt To Take Death Penalty Off Table For Bryan Kohberger
It is unclear whether Kohberger has been diagnosed with the disorder or if his team is pursuing a diagnosis.
There’s an update in the University of Idaho quadruple murder case.
Bryan Kohberger is charged with four counts of first-degree murder in the brutal stabbing deaths of four students that occurred in an off-campus home in 2022.
If found guilty, he faces the death penalty.
However, the defense team is now asking the judge to take the death penalty off the table because of autism.
The motion remains sealed at this time. It is unclear whether Kohberger has been diagnosed with the disorder or if his team is pursuing a diagnosis.
Kohberger’s trial is set for this summer.
