Apple is planning to open an AI server factory in Texas.

The 250,000-square-foot AI server manufacturing facility will be located in Houston and is expected to open next year.

The new factory will produce servers for Apple intelligence, it’s AI-personal assistant for iPhone, iPad and Mac computers.

It comes as part a $500 billion investment in the United States in which Apple is committing to over the next four years.

Apple is also planning to hire around 20,000 new employees across the nation. Most of the new hires will be focused on research and development, software development, silicon engineering and more.

Currently, Apple assembles most of its products in China. The move comes as the Trump administration is pressuring the tech giant over where it chooses to manufacture its products.
