Senate Confirms Kash Patel As Lead Of FBI

Kash Patel said he plans to "shut down" FBI headquarters on his first day in office

The Senate has confirmed Kash Patel to serve as the head of the FBI.

The Senate approved his position in a 51-49 vote.

Patel said he plans to “shut down” FBI headquarters on his first day in office and turn it into a “museum to the deep state.”

His nomination for FBI director had faced intense scrutiny from Democrats, who warned that Patel could use the position to seek retribution against Trump’s perceived political enemies.

However, Patel said that he will not politicize the FBI and there will be no retribution.
