KFC Is Relocating Headquarters Out Of Kentucky

In recent years, many companies have relocated to Texas due to the state's lower taxes and business-friendly policies.

Kentucky Fried Chicken is moving its corporate headquarters in the U.S. out of Kentucky.

Owner, Yum Brands, is relocating the office from Louisville to Plano, Texas.

“I am disappointed by this decision and believe the company’s founder would be, too,” Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear said.

However, in recent years, many companies have relocated to Texas due to the state’s lower taxes and business-friendly policies.

Yum Brands’ chief executive said the change will allow the company to succeed in sustainable growth and help it better serve customers, employees, franchisees and shareholders.

Despite the headquarters relocating, KFC will keep some operations in Kentucky, including its KFC foundation.
