North Myrtle Beach Leaders Discuss Multi-Million Dollar Home Project
Council members approved but said a few issues remain before they can give the final green light.
North Myrtle Beach leaders have given early approval for a multi-million dollar home project.
Last year, Florida-based Klotz Group, proposed a $250 million venture to bring 804 homes and a 10,000-square-foot commercial building on land located between Highway 22 and Carolina Bays Parkway.
Monday, a smaller footprint of that project was presented. It eliminates the commercial space, allows for a maximum of 613 houses and replaces five-story towers with townhouse type units.
Council members approved but said a few issues remain before they can give the final green light. That includes more clarification on garage depths, utility hookups and setbacks.
Another workshop is planned ahead of a second reading that would clear the way for construction.
