Chemical Spill In Horry County Leaves Two People Injured

A chemical spill in Horry County left two people injured.
The spill occurred at a multi-unit residential property around 9:30pm Sunday night.
Fire rescue crews reported to the 5000 block of South Kings Highway in Surfside Beach where residents in the immediate area were ordered to shelter in place for precautionary measures.
Crews measured reading levels and ventilated the building. They were able to contain and neutralize the spill that was discovered to be ammonia.
Two people were taken to a hospital in connection to the incident. The extent of their reported sickness is unclear.
