MLK Events During Annual Grand Strand Freedom Week

The week will feature activities including the MLK annual Parade, Community Youth Fair, Drum Major Awards, Breakfast and more.

There will be several events to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. during the 20th annual Grand Strand Freedom Week.

The week will feature activities including the MLK annual Parade, Community Youth Fair, Drum Major Awards, Breakfast and more.

The celebration is set to kick off at the Myrtle Beach Train Depot on Friday from 5-8pm with refreshments and live music.

The parade will then take place on Saturday from 10-11am along Ocean Boulevard from 15th to 8th Avenue North.

Those events are free to attend, but the Drum Major Awards and Breakfast will require a ticket for $25.

That event is scheduled to take place on Monday at 9am in the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.
