Small Plane Crash Leaves Shed With Minor Damage
Two people were aboard the aircraft during the incident. However, no injuries were reported.
A small aircraft crashed into a shed in the Conway area Monday morning.
Just before 7am, Horry County Fire Rescue crews responded to West Brownway Circle.
A Challenger II Kit Model Ultralight plane reportedly ran out of fuel.
The pilot attempted to land at the nearby Conway-Horry County airport, but was not able to make it.
They then tried to land in an open field but crashed into the shed instead.
Two people were aboard the aircraft during the incident. However, no injuries were reported.
The structure did sustain minor damage.
Lanes of traffic were blocked off as officials worked on the scene, but have since reopened.
An investigation is underway.
