Horry County Police Chase Results In Car Crash

During a search of the vehicle, a glock with a switch on it was discovered and confirmed stolen out of florence.

A police pursuit in Horry County resulted in a crash.

Around 7:30pm on Wednesday, an officer witnessed the driver of a black Nissan Altima commit a traffic violation.

The suspect looked away from the officer and appeared to try and hide his face. That behavior is “commonly associated” with criminal activity.

The officer was prompted to attempt a traffic stop. The driver then took off at a high speed leading the officer on a chase through Conway.

It ended after the suspect crashed into a fence in front of Kingston Presbyterian Church.

10 grams of marijuana was also found in the suspects pocket.

He was a repeat offender with previous drug, weapons and traffic violations.

The suspects identity was not publicly revealed. However, he was taken to a hospital to be checked out before being taken into custody.
