Local Men’s Wheelchair Basketball Team Ranked No. 2 Nationwide

This is the highest the team has ever ranked, but they have made it into the top five before.

A local men’s wheelchair basketball team is ranked high nationally.

The Coastal Chairmen are currently ranked No. 2 out 57 teams across the country.

They played back-to-back home games on Saturday at the North Myrtle Beach Aquatic and Fitness Center against the Triangle Thunder team out of Raleigh. They won both games by double digits.

This is the highest the team has ever ranked, but they have made it into the top five before.

The team is made up of talented athletes including disabled veterans, community members, and local high school athletes.

Their next home game will be held on January 18.
