LeBron James Breaks NBA Record Held By Michael Jordan For Years

It took Jordan 1,072 games in 15 seasons to achieve the record, while James did it in 1,523 games throughout 22 seasons.

LeBron James made history Friday night breaking an NBA record held by Michael Jordan for years.

LeBron secured a record 563rd career 30-point game after shooting a turnaround fadeaway jumper in the fourth quarter in a game between the Los Angeles Lakers and Atlanta Hawks. He passed Jordan’s record set back in 2003.

It took Jordan 1,072 games in 15 seasons to achieve the record, while James did it in 1,523 games throughout 22 seasons.

The NBA star expressed gratitude for breaking the record and admitted he “idolized” Jordan stating he wears number 23 because of the legend.

James turned 40 last week and hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down after revealing he could play up to seven more seasons if he wants to.
