Russia Launches Massive Aerial Attack Against Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy described the attack as one of the heaviest bombardments.

The country fired 93 cruise and ballistic missiles as well as around 200 drones.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy described the attack as one of the heaviest bombardments of the country’s energy sector since Russia’s invasion started nearly three years ago.

Ukrainian defense forces shot down 81 of the missiles, including 11 cruise missiles that were intercepted by F16 warplanes.

“A strong reaction from the world is needed: a massive strike, a massive reaction. This is the only way to stop terror,” Zelenskyy said in response.
