New Elementary School In Darlington Now Has A Name

The new school will combine the students from Rosenwald Elementary and St. Johns Elementary.

Darlington County has revealed the name of a new school that is set to open soon.

A new elementary school is currently under construction.

It will combine the students from Rosenwald Elementary and St. Johns Elementary.

Parents and employees of the two schools were allowed to suggest what the new education facility should be called.

The Darlington County Board of Education approved the name “Black Creek Elementary School.”

The school will hold 670 students, with the capacity to expand up to 800.

The building is located between North Governor Williams Highway and Leavensworth Road in Darlington.

It is expected to open for the 2025-26 school year.
