FBI Director Wray To Resign Before Trump Returns To The White House
Wray said the decision comes after weeks of careful thought. It also comes roughly three years short of the completion of a 10-year term.
FBI Director Christopher Wray announced plans to resign at the end of President Biden’s term.
Wray said the decision comes after weeks of careful thought. It also comes roughly three years short of the completion of a 10-year term.
During his time he said he tried to keep the agency out of politics even as the bureau found itself tangled in a string of investigations, including two separate indictments of Trump last year.
Wray said his resignation, in his view, “the best way to avoid dragging the bureau deeper into the fray, while reinforcing the values and principles that are so important to how we do our work.”
