Bill Belichick has been tapped to take on a head coaching position again.

The University of North Carolina hired Belichick as its head football coach.

The 72-year-old replaces Mack Brown, who was fired after six seasons as head coach in Chapel Hill.

Belichick is going to lead the Tar Heels after parting ways with the New England Patriots last season, following 24 seasons in which he won a record six Super Bowl championships.

This will be his first coaching position for a college football team.
