Myrtle Beach Charter School To Break Ground On New Building

The building will be on a small portion of the new property and the rest of the land will remain untouched for students to explore

A charter school in the Myrtle Beach area is ready to break ground on a new building.

The school, formerly known as the Coastal Leadership Academy will now be called Coastal High School. It is a tuition-free public charter.

The new building will be built on nearly 110-acres off of River Oaks Drive.

Construction is set to start Saturday.

The principal said, “The school is looking forward to its new location and the opportunity for growth that it will allow.” She added it will remain a small school with a maximum capacity of 520 students.

The building will be on a small portion of the new property and the rest of the land will remain untouched for students to explore as an opportunity to take the classroom outside.
