UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson Fatally Shot In New York

Investigators revealed a gunman sporting a mask was waiting for Thompson hours before he arrived.

The CEO of UnitedHealthcare was killed in Manhattan Wednesday morning.

Brian Thompson was reportedly fatally shot outside a midtown hotel.

The 50-year-old executive was there to attend a UnitedHealthcare conference.

Investigators revealed a gunman sporting a mask was waiting for Thompson hours before he arrived.

The suspect fired multiple shots from around 20 feet away.

The gunman then fled on foot through an alley and escaped on a bike.

Thompson was shot in the chest. He was later pronounced dead at a hospital.

Investigators believe the attack was a targeted shooting.

No arrests have been made at this time.
