The Cost of the ’12 Days of Christmas’ is Up Again This Year
They've been tracking the prices for over 40 years.
PNC Bank released its annual report on how much it would cost to buy all the gifts from “The 12 Days of Christmas”. If you want to save money on this list, cut out the “lords-a-leaping.” They’re overpriced.
They’ve been tracking the prices for over 40 years. And once again, it’s an all-time high. Everything on the list would run you $49,263 this year, up around 5%. But, three of the gifts represent more than 35 thousand of that. Ten lords-a-leaping is $15,580. They base it on how much it would cost to hire professional ballet dancers. Meanwhile, seven swans-a-swimming at $13,125 is the second most expensive gift and nine ladies dancing racked up $8,557.
