HCFR Responds To Outdoor Fire In Carolina Forest Area

The fire was fully contained, but it was and could still be smoldering.

If you witnessed smoke in the Carolina Forest area Tuesday morning, we know the reason why.

Just before 5am, Horry County Fire Rescue crews responded to an outdoor fire near the intersection of Carolina Forest Boulevard and Hibernia Road.

Upon arrival, crews found a large pile of railroad ties burning near the railroad tracks.

The incident was under control around 7:40am.

The fire was fully contained, but it was and could still be smoldering, which means smoke could still be visible.

Traffic was not affected by the incident and no injuries were reported.

The City of Conway Fire Department assisted with the response.
