Trial To Kick Off For Woman Accused Of Killing Bride In DUI Related Crash

Jamie Komoroski hit a golf cart that was carrying a couple that had just left their wedding reception and two others.

Jamie Komoroski is set to be tried this week on three counts of felony DUI and one count of reckless homicide resulting in death.

The now 27-year-old is facing charges after a crash occurred in Folly Beach in April of last year. She is accused of driving drunk over three times the legal limit while speeding 65 miles-per-hour in a 25-zone.

Komoroski hit a golf cart that was carrying a couple that had just left their wedding reception and two others.

34-year-old bride Samantha Miller, still in her wedding dress, was killed and her new husband was hospitalized with major injuries. The other two passengers suffered injuries as well.

Komoroski was released from the Al Cannon Detention Center in March and has been under house arrest since.

Judge Michael Nettles is overseeing the case that has gained national attention.
